A VILLAGE

SETTLED ON

TWO RIVERS

The name “Introd” comes from “entre les eaux” (between waters). The village is situated in a peculiar position between two small rivers, Dora of Rhêmes and the stream Savara. The 2 Introd bridges are the only connection with the other downstream villages.

Between water... and Valleys

Being at the bottom of the Rhêmes and Valsavarenche valleys, Introd is situated exactly at the gates of the Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso. The ideal place to be surrounded by pure nature, breathtaking mountain panoramas, wild and colorful flora and sports of all kinds.

Valley of Rhêmes

Deep in the Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso, in this valley you will be surrounded by natural colors and landscapes. Trekking, climbing, cross-country skiing… there’s a sport for every season. In this area also, just a few years ago the bearded vulture, the largest bird in Europe, is again inhabiting our skies.

Valsavarenche

This is the the most wild and narrow of the regional valleys: nature, history and alpine architecture will blow your mind. Here you’ll be able to practice summer and winter sports, follow the renowned mule track, taste the delicious polenta at the Vittorio Emanuele refuge and admire the beautiful rascards, typical ancient alpine houses.
